THE COMPARISON BETWEEN JOOX AND SPOTIFY IN IMPROVNG STUDENT’S LISTENING SKILL

Abstrak

Nowadays, English is one of the important needs that some people need to meet. People learn it because it is one of the main requirements in any job opportunity. In Indonesia, English is taught as a foreign language. Teaching English listening to native students in Indonesia is challenging. In fact, many of them complaint that its hard to master listening.

However, in this era students who wants to improve listening skill with digital activities. The purpose of this paper is to identify wether there is any comparison between Joox vs Spotify to improve student's listening ability in English education's students batch 2017. This paper use one instrument to collect data. It is a questionnaire. I choose sampling technique.

The result showed that students by using Spotify was higher than students by using JOOX. There was any comparison between JOOX and Spotify application to improve student’s listening ability at English education’s student batch 2017 in Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.
