Many 12th grade high school students have difficulty pronouncing and writing vocabulary that they rarely encounter. For example, the word "accede" has a fairly difficult pronunciation, and many people read it incorrectly. As a result, I conducted a brief study to determine the number of levels decoding grade 12 students in reading or writing words that are difficult and they rarely meet.
